Something about me...

I'm Paul Cooper and officially I've retired but that doesn't mean I'm sitting idle.  With many years experience in electrical engineering, design and technology, it's difficult to just stop and let it all pass me by now.  That is not what I want for my 'golden years' so I've decided to fill my time with everything that has sustained me so far and cast my net even wider.  So far I have been involved with half a dozen websites including one in Spain and I intend to do more since I have close connections with Spain so if you're an ex-patriot you might find my services useful. 

It has been a very steep learning curve but the lessons learnt have not been ignored and having decided to direct my energies in this direction, it seems like a good idea to let others share the benefits.  On that basis I plan to bring inexpensive websites within reach of those who might otherwise not have the expertise or resources to enjoy them.

There are many ways of doing this but the first fundamental is to give honest information about what's involved and allow those who have the aptitude to run and maintain their own web presence by dealing directly with the host and registering their own domain.  This removes the insecurity of having an 'agent' in charge of your web-based assets and charging for the privilege - many is the business to make that mistake.

Possibly the next most fundamental is to eliminate the expense of bespoke design.  There are literally thousands, if not millions of 'templates' available for little or no cost and by selecting one of these, at least half the cost of creating a website is bypassed. 

Similarly, much of the script programming that goes into interactive websites is available 'off the peg' for a reasonable one-off payment so why reinvent the wheel? 

After that, the main effort is concentrated in the content, promotion and maintenance of your website which is where the money is best spent.  After all what's the point of a flashy website if nobody sees it and if that's all you get for your money, then you've wasted it and to be frank, you were conned! 

My philosophy is to provide an honest, reliable and transparent service that involves the client in every aspect of their web presence and lets the results speak for themselves.  So there you are...  That's who I am and what I do so if you want or need a website and don't know where to start, start with me!

My overheads and my prices are low.  You will notice that I use VOiP telephony for my telecoms so I pay very little for my calls, both at home and abroad, so if you need a website in Spain or Greece, it's all the same to me.  You're only a local call away and if you have the facilities, I can offer you video conferencing free! 

Because I work from home, I have no office rent or business rates to pay; no expensive insurance policies and no travelling costs.  Why would I need an office when I can reduce my carbon footprint by staying home with my computer and working in comfort, available whenever my clients need me?  You won't get that from the 'big boys' so when you're considering the idea of a website, start with me and you'll not go far wrong.
