Is your Internet Connection what it Claims?
Well for a start how much are you paying for it? If you have broadband, the chances are you were tempted with a wonderful (up to) 8Mb bandwidth with unlimited downloads and all for only.... how much!
That 8Mb will only happen if you're next door to the telephone exchange - the further away you are, the slower it gets due to cable losses unless of course you're on a cable network which uses slightly different technology.
As for the 'unlimited' bit, there is always what they call a 'fair use' policy which means that in reality, you are limited in how much you can download (or upload) so that 'extra' you paid might not be gaining you anything. Maybe time to migrate to another service provider and I recommend Plusnet...
Broadband Providers
With Plusnet you get a broadband connection you can tailor to your own needs and the choice of a monthly contract. If you just want email and browsing with an occasional download, you can choose the cheaper package for just £9.99 a month and you can even have equipment supplied if you need it.
You can also get VOiP facilities included so there are good reasons to choose Plusnet for your broadband. The contract is monthly rather than annual or 18 months but make sure you read the terms and conditions because in reality they like you to stay for at least a year and there might be a penalty on some plans if you leave earlier. However you get what you pay for with any service and the cost is clearly stated at the outset.
Each plan is clearly described so you know what you're getting. They are an internet based company and this is how they keep prices low so you need to work online if you want to engage with this them unless it's really important.
They do have contact details, including telephone support, and they respond quickly most of the time. I'm happy with the service I get although they've had a few logistical problems recently, probably victims of their own success, but in spite of that I can cheerfully recommend them for most users including businesses and 'power' users.
