Before you buy a website you should know a few things...

I don't sell websites!  I do create quality websites for new-start businesses, community groups and charity projects - in fact anyone who would benefit from a website but simply can't afford it.  The reason for this is that I am retired but stubbornly refuse to stop working at what I do well and enjoy.  It certainly isn't to make money so if you hope to make use of my services you will have to convince me that you really do need a website.

Forgive me if I seem to  be trying to put you off the idea - on the contrary - but before you get seduced by all the hype about the 'power of the web' and it's tremendous potential, you need to consider a few issues.  Having a website is not an easy route to instant success!  It's just another way of advertising or putting out information...

Don't expect miracles.  You will be competing with thousands of others so you need to get noticed and there is no magic formula for doing that!  You have to work at it so don't say you weren't warned - a website is like any other advert - mostly it is a complete waste of time and money and will deliver very little - at least initially!

Nevertheless whether you're a local greengrocer in Bristol or a B&B hotel in Spain, any small business could benefit from an affordable website but only if you use the medium to its best advantage.  That depends on how much you're willing to put into it - not just financially but in terms of time and effort. 

Discouraged?  Well it wouldn't be right to let you believe that having a website has any advantages when for most people it has hardly any.  Even so the potential might exist for yours so read my information then make an informed decision...

If you're still interested, choose an option from the menu on the left and let's get started.  I'm not trying to sell you anything so I have nothing to lose by putting you off or giving hard-nosed facts.  Over the years I've seen mediocre websites that were effectively thrown together and dumped on some 'free' webspace then left there, neglected and unchanging so is it any wonder people don't bother to even look at it? 

There's no guarantee I will even offer my services if you do want a website.  I have lots of websites to maintain so I'm not short of things to do, but having come this far you will probably find your time spent here is the best investment you can make on the web - at least for the free advice and the honest information I'm offering!
